Our Story

HM Scenic Landscaping Inc. is a family-owned and operated company founded by Hudson MacDonald. Born and raised in Muskoka, Hudson grew up around the outdoors and developed an appreciation for quality workmanship, natural landscapes and the properties that make this area unique. His family has lived, worked and owned businesses in Muskoka for generations, and HM Scenic Landscaping continues that tradition today.

What began as a landscaping business has grown into a full-service landscape construction company specializing in hardscaping, stonework, excavation, shoreline projects, decks, landscape design and complete outdoor transformations throughout Muskoka and surrounding areas.

Family remains a big part of the business. Mikayla Fisher is heavily involved in HM Scenic Landscaping and helps support the company behind the scenes and throughout its day-to-day operations. Hudson’s mom is also part of the team, working on the sales and customer side of the business and helping clients through the early stages of their projects.

Together with our crew, we take pride in delivering dependable service, quality craftsmanship and outdoor spaces built to last. Our goal is simple: design, build and maintain exceptional Muskoka properties while treating every project like it’s our own.
